We Are Here To Help You With Any Questions You May Have and Jargon-Free

It is best practise to appoint a solicitor as soon as you have put in an offer on a property and before you have finalised the mortgage for it. At The Property Anchor Network we do have solid connections with mortgage brokers, so do feel free to contact us even before.

The conveyancer is a legal professional specialising in the legal part of the buying and selling of property. The legal part is formally called “conveyancing.”

In the UK, the licensed conveyancer can be (but need not be) a solicitor (non-trial lawyer) — but is regulated by the official body called the Council for Licensed Conveyancers.

Veronica Mark – Founder of The Property Anchor Network – has a solid 20+ years of experience dealing with buying and selling residential and commercial properties in London and Essex.

If you remortgage with your current lender, by simply moving to a new rate or deal, it’s considered a “product transfer” and requires no additional legal work. Otherwise, yes, a remortgage will require you to have a solicitor or conveyancer, to help with the legal side of things.
